Trifextra #92 – Power Shift

In The Scorpio Races, author Maggie Stiefvater writes, “It is the first day of November and so, today, someone will die.”  Give us the next thirty-three words of this story, as you imagine it.

***************************************************

Sonja’s lips formed a firm line.

“GET ON YOUR KNEES!”

Rations were running low.

The Cabinet agreed to this…

She lifts the revolver at the President’s head.

Thank God for the 25th Amendment….

**********************************************

That was “Power Shift”

So this is not only my entry for the 92nd Trifextra… but my first post for NaBloPoMo, the Post-a-Day blogging event for November!  Yes, I have decided to post at least SOMETHING every day this month!  I promise!

Interesting that it’s the president’s death impending. And I admit to Googling the 25th Amendment; thanks for the push into history.

  6. Yikes! Makes me curious to know what led to that “power shift.” Powerful 33 words!
