Trifecta Week 72: Alchemy – Splashdown

Trifecta #72 (Hey, that’s Hall of Fame Catcher Carlton Fisk’s number when he was a member of the White Sox!)

Ok, I’m back on the Trifecta bus and ready to get moving on this week’s topic Alchemy.

As usual, the word has to be used in the context of its 3rd dictionary definition and the entry has to be between 33 and 333 words.

Also, the number 72 is divisible by 3, and if you switch the numbers around to make it 27, there’s another one divisible by 3

Ok… enough babbling…

Stand back!

I am about to attempt

a feat so incredible,

so impossible,

so fantastical,

that the very fiber of the cosmos

will undergo a change so surreal,

a change of sheer amazitude,

some will call it alchemy.

But fear not,

my darling, skeptical, eyebrow-raised,

toe tapping in double time tempo wife of mine.

Your water soaked pajamas will dry.

Your late night jaunts to the commode will stay true,

The toilet seat shall never be left vertically inclined,

for rear ends

  4. I love the build up, like a magician on a stage. And he would certainly be a magician if he can manage that feat.

    Thanks for linking up!

I could just imagine him on a stage with one of those headset microphones on his face trying desperately to avoid his inevitable fate! Lol I’m glad you enjoyed it!

  5. Hahaha Thankful for a house full of girls!

  6. Hahaha. Post of sheer “Amazitude” indeed!
